February contained a total of 72 individual posts. It's still about a year away from when I first discovered the fashion and then later on stumbled upon EGL in my hunt to learn more, and in 2004, I consider the amount of traffic it received to be quite slow compared to what it would become in later years, even with outside communities such as d_l and the like.

Well I sure as shit was shocked to see this entry from lillyxandra. At first glance I was about to skip past what seemed like yet another dead-linked post, but then I noticed the name in the link!
They aren't a lolita brand at all anymore(if they ever really were), but they do have a ton of beautiful ethereal designs that you might like checking out anyways, just because everything on their Facebook is so beautiful, luxurious and highly detailed. I only wish we were able to see what their earliest designs looked like.
Later on in the day, aila_chan asks which type of music people listen to that reminds them of EGL. the following is a list of all that were mentioned, of course the usual, and then some I haven't heard of before:

So maybe if you're fairly new to the fashion, and sometimes once you become accustom to the culture, or maybe you just just witnessed your first huge change in the fashion like the closing of yaplog! BUT, if you've been in the game for a while, you can't help but roll your eyes and smash your head into a wall every time someone tries to insist that lolita is dying in some sort of melodramatic screeching post. And if you're ever wondering why no one is taking your "the fashion is dying" posts, this is why...
And per usual, over the last 16 years, all the comments are the exact same comments every single year.

I hope you're eating your words right now about not needing GLB since they perished a few years back.

FIY this is the only time I'm going to go over this topic, though I promise you it is a way too often repeated... However, if you weren't aware, before it's death after 63 volumes, the GLB DID have it's own English version of the magazine, produced by the now deceased publishing house Tokyopop that brought a ton of amazing Manga to the US.
Way back in 2008 I remember finding my first copy(the second issue) at Borders, which is another victim of digitization that is no longer with us. Not too long ago I found the first volume, the only issue of the english series I had been missing.
Before the death of TokyoPop, they had released 5 english issues. They were a mix of both old translated articles from older GLB issues, and also contained some original english content. Similar to their Japanese counterpart, they also contained some diy tutorials as well as full sized sewing patterns.
Well, I think I'll end this week on that note. I'll continue with EGL month of April next week. And I am really excited because the first Daily-Lolita post was in 2007, and we are quickly approaching that year! I also have a whole hoard of GLB and other Lolita related media I hope to soon share! As usual, if you have any requests of my, please let me know what I should prioritize first, of if there is any info or insight you are looking for.
Until next time!
