2026 Wardrobe Post

Wow I didn’t expect this blog to stay vacant for so long. In all honesty I never expected to abandon this blog completely, however, I honestly have a hard time keeping up with most social media with 3 small children. Yes, THREE! The last time I posted my thoughts, I had one small girl and was pregnant with the second, and now I haveTHREE girls, the youngest now being 2. I am most frequently on IG now for the quick and easy stories post, and the more infrequent YouTube, where I post random projects and rambling of coord ideas and crafts that have caught my attention. That said, I frequently miss the days of the EGL Livejournal community, and even towards its decline, the yearly LJ migration in January for the yearly wardrobe posts.

So I will be frank, but so much has changed from my last post, more than just the number of children we have…We were originally located in Southern Arizona, then moved to eastern Washington, and now we find ourselves in ALASKA! Wow what a jump! Wha a change! I will tell you, the one thing that hasn’t changed was the love for the fashion. Therefoe, let’s get to it!

My wardrobe this year is late, to be sure! I started to take photos in January when I first filmed my video installment ft my BTSSB collection, and as I currently write this it is now February, though I’m sure I will continue to update this post into March, AND APRIL too!

I am still a little packed up from our latest move away from the lower 48, so I will be uploading photos for items as I find them.

EGL Archive: February - March 2003

February contained a total of 72 individual posts. It's still about a year away from when I first discovered the fashion and then later on stumbled upon EGL in my hunt to learn more, and in 2004, I consider the amount of traffic it received to be quite slow compared to what it would become in later years, even with outside communities such as d_l and the like. February 3, 2003 Well I sure as shit was shocked to see this entry from lillyxandra . At first glance I was about to skip past what seemed like yet another dead-linked post, but then I noticed the name in the link! They aren't a lolita brand at all anymore(if they ever really were), but they do have a ton of beautiful ethereal designs that you might like checking out anyways, just because everything on their Facebook is so beautiful, luxurious and highly detailed. I only wish we were able to see what their earliest designs looked like. If you're interested in checking out the modern Firefly Path, go visit th...

2021 Wardrobe Post

Wow! Long time no post! Man I really missed writing plus 2020 was such a nightmare, I am so glad to finally have a spare minute to post on this blog again.  As you know, the January Wardrobe theme has been a tradition spanning the past decade, starting with this post 10 years ago on EGL. By now I have already added my wardrobe videos to my YouTube channel featuring some of my favorite details of each piece. However, since it was done during the first few days of the new year, I still had some late arriving new additions to my wardrobe that didn’t make the video, so this is definitely a more complete documentation of my current wardrobe. Just as in my videos, I will be starting with main pieces, but organized by brand, rather than cut. I may add the last few things I am waiting for in the mail within the next few days. My last 3 packages are scheduled to arrive the first week of February, however I wanted to post this before January was up, and of course, here we are on the very la...

4 Coords, 1 Dress

The last meet my comm had before the Covid crisis hit my state full speed was a meet to the local art museum during it’s monthly free day. Unfortunately a few days after that, things began to change for the worse, and meets for the next few months were cancelled. So, as a long time admin of my local community, I suggested that we start having bi-weekly themes: a new, revolving theme to change once every two weeks, to keep up morale and promote community participation to offer a distraction in these trying time.  Our last theme was 1 item, 4 coords. Some members choose to choose items that that had been forgotten at the back of their wardrobes, but I chose one of my go-to pieces, a Moi Meme Moitie piece from 2010, my Cross Gather OP. The first coord I did was something reflecting my regular, go-to styling. Something simple, casual, and comfortable. The main reason I wanted to use this piece for this challenge was because I wanted to force myself out of my comfort zon...
